-- The Nitrogen fill directions say about 300 lbs Nitrogen - our
-- local regulators don't go so high and you can't get that out of a
-- compressed air system in an emergency. I guess you could
-- land on a flat main sock but carefully?
I use a small hand pump to put very high pressure air into my bike shock and
automotive
racing shocks. The air pressure is in the 200 to 250 psi range, and the
pump can go higher. It isn't nitrogen, but it works in a pinch. This little hand pump
weighs about 6
ounces, and came with my mountain bike. I may just carry a spare in the
plane.
I also have a modified nitrogen regulator for long-term fills. Maybe
Timothy Ong can
address this problem for the list's benefit?
