A few lists ago Ken Keeler asked about stall strips.  I wrote the article he spoke about in the LNN.  I put stall strips after consultation with Martin Holman, Charlie Kohler and Jim Frantz.  They were installed as shown in the article.  With the help of Charlie Kohler, I flew my IV in April and the good news is the stall strips work great.  The imminent stall is just a slight ripple at 67kts dirty and 76 kts clean with no tendency to drop either wing.  I"m sure most everyone is familiar with Charlie's stall experience that was written up in the LNN prior to my article.  This was enough to convince me that  stall strips are a good thing.  I am now looking forward to getting my AOA calibrated.  Bob Young
