I haven't done it. I have heard 3rd hand about one incident which resulted in the door departing and I think it hit the hstab (on the right side). The door has a huge amount of lift and the hinges couldn't hold it.

it's not a good situation.

My test pilot didn't bother with a parachute because he says the door cannot be opened in flight. (not related to your question....)

I have had door open on Bonanza prior & was really no big deal other than noisy. Wondering if same on Lancair.
