Ron,

more detail would be helpful.    Are you talking about the horizontal wire or the vertical one?
Are you talking about coming out aft of the firewall or somewhere ahead of that?

To the extent the wire misses any of the holes in the two cowling halves, I wouldn't fly until you get it resolved.
There are huge pressures trying to rip that top cowling off the airplane.   Depending where it ends up it could be quite dangerous.

If it's coming out in the middle of the cowling, you need to get everything lined up carefully before you put the wire in.  This may require pressure on the side and the top at various points in the process.

So I pulled it out and pushed it in again, it looked good to me, and the cowling seemed ok, but when I can back home it as sticking out.....again :(

So is there any trick I can use ? (it did not do any damage and the wire was just hanging out at the side.)
