Angier,
When I receive my kit (ES #79) in the fall of 96 it didn't include the POH. I wondered about that as well. About a year ago I received a POH in the mail. It's a fairly nice manual and appears to be on par with Cessna and Piper in quality. The pages are 5"x8" and it came in its own 3-ring binder. You may want to call Lancair and ask them about it.
As for a building tip, one of the things that I've found to be quite helpful in doing micro work is to use those plastic disposable cake decorating cones. They're really helpful for putting beads of micro in fillets and in the edges of prepreg. The tips come sealed and you can cut them for the size bead that you need. Also if you let it cure, you can remove the cured micro and reuse them if you're careful. You can find them in the cake decorating section or at party supply stores. The ones that I use are made by Wilton and come in boxes of 12 for about $5.00.

Hi all,
Speaking of brakes, is it considered customary to lubricate the bolts on which the pads slide?
Also slightly off topic...did you all get pilot operating handbooks with your
kits?
I did not and Lancair does not offer one for sale in their catalog.
