What do you recommend with regard to tire wear and replacement vs
getting flats?  Some tread, no tread, showing cord?   I.e., if you go to
a car tire dealer, he measures the amount of tread left and bases
replacement recommendations on that.  Some car tires even have color
layers at the appropriate depth to visually warn you that they need
replacing.
