I'm installing the forward hinge canopy but with the modified header tank the fuel transfer ports and vent tube can't all be located 4" from the center per the instructions. Any potential problem putting the vent tube next to the sight guage on the other side? Or is there a better solution out there? Thanks.
[It seems that the important consideration with the vent tube location
is not with where it exits, but that it sits as high as possible in the
tank at the open end. I installed mine so the open end of the vent tube
was positioned right next to the filler opening in the cored out section
of the front deck. Where you locate its outlet is pretty much up to you.
You just need to be able to connect it to the actual exit tube easily.
Just my opinion. <Marv> ]
