I did a little digging for a similar 3M tape.
 
 
It appears that this 838 tape comes in 1" white and would do the job.  Not cheap, and you'll need to buy way too much.
 
 
Maybe you can find a couple other guys who could share the roll.

I used the 1" clear leading edge tape from A/S and it's held up great for several years.  It used to only be available in long rolls, now you can get 12 yard rolls.
