Determined a properly setup 12v trim will take about 30 seconds full up to full down in a Legacy. That sounds about right and Ed Martin's Legacy here is working the right way. Mine and others at 6 seconds means that you have about 3 seconds from level flight to full deflection in a runaway.  That's not enough to activate the safety cutout or manually find a disconnect.  On a night approach or close to the ground that just isn't going to be detectable before things go wrong.  So, I'm still looking for the right wiring, I had my panel wired by Lancair Avionics but the box that controls the trim has no label and the pot that is supposed to control speed only stops the pitch trim so it isn't working properly.  We'll get it right but 6 seconds isn't safe imo.
