My mate who flew Mosquitos in THE BIG SHOW and with whom I shared a B727 cockpit in the GOLDEN YEARS is 91 and still flying his RV6.
I will be 68 this year and to quote Grayhawk – “they’ll have to pry my Lancair pistol grip out of my cold dead hands” unquote. ( actually Grayhawk was referring to his starter). Mind you, she who must be obeyed got pretty close,.
Cheers

The only two time coastal circumnavigator of continental Australia at 65 and 66 in a Lancair (or anything else as far as I can find out)!!!!!
GOM … I’m already 68 and am cutting forward not back.
Steve Wittman was 91 and still making it work when the plane he was flying had a structural failure.
Chuck Yeager still cutting it in his 80’s
Bob Hoover made it work into his 80’s
OK … so these are exceptional people. SO ARE WE.
Don’t give in. 68 old? Not me, at least yet.
Jim
I am getting old, soon will be 68, time to start cuttinig back.
