Turbo-normalization with good intercooling on 8.5:1 seems to work well.

Agree. The Cirrus PPP has an engine management ground session that touches on the material in a practical way. Got me interested, but left some questions. I've signed up for the APS on-line course ( http://www.advancedpilot.com) and will follow up with a trip to Ada in March for their next live session.
