| Randy, Right, with loss of power I would be gliding at best l/d on my AOA, or (gross) at around 105/110, gear and flaps up, until I have made it to the landing spot. Then I still have the gear down switch .. and if I forget under stress, at 90 the gear comes out. At 100 when I drop the gear and flaps, no power, speed loss will depend on whether the 3-blade MT is windmilling or not... and my prop's electric, and I will have toggled it to low rpm/high pitch, and I should have an idea of the glide angle for that condition by then, right? As I said before, I considered putting a switch in to bypass the auto gear down switch, to be able to land wheels up. When would I want to do that.?.. over water. Or? How's that sound? I would seriously consider changing your set up for the following reason. This is a bit of a long winded response but it brings up a vitally important point for the group.
