I think I want to purchase one as my last airplane, while I think I can. I have never flown one but have 6 hrs Glasair 3 and about 3 hours in an SX300. I do have an ATP, 5000 hours and have owned a PBaron and TN A36, so I suspect the transition won't be hard. Currently I fly 300 hrs a year in a 201 in all types of IFR, usually just very low ceilings, in the SE USA. I am concerned about the range for IFR and reserves as well as the approach stabilized nature of the airplane or lack there of. I have been told these are predominantly VFR or very light IFR machines. The engine out glide range and landing transition(there is one for sale with a feathering prop, your thoughts) is a little concerning, your thoughts. Having said that my time frame is the next 2-3 months and I would appreciate any and all help with this quest.
Thank you,
Chris Floyd
