I have an un-heated boom probe on my IV-P and it works well...when clear of
icing. I think it's the very first thing to start collecting ice on my
airplane, and my Judy is pretty sure it's collected a ball of ice bigger
than the "standard" a couple of times. The system definitely ices up, but
clears and functions normally when clear of ice. A heated probe was not
available when I bought/installed mine, and now I'd have to change the
mounting and convert to a mast and boom mount to have the heated version. I
installed wiring in the wing against the day when this would be available,
but now I'm debating the mess of installation.

The AOA part of the system is specific to Dynon. You can ask the OP folks,
but I'm pretty sure you can't put this input into an OP Technology system.
