I have the old Esco strut on my IV-P. Lancair modified it in
late 2007 to increase the turning angle and improve the internal dampers. I am
now above 400 flight hours and approximately 650 landings. BTW, I changed the mains
at approximately 500 landings. They were still serviceable, but we were
planning a 3-week trip to Alaska and I didn’t want to chance them.
Goodyear Flight Custom II’s originally; now Flight Custom III’s.
Absolutely no trouble with them at all.

Any
takers to my survey? How many IV and ES drivers still have old struts
that are working okay?
