I realize all the early comments but WHERE in the manual does it state to use Hysol?? That’s what I am trying to find (sorry I forgot to ask that earlier) and seem to be overlooking somehow

You MUST use the hysol from what I know and you MUST prepare the surfaces as you did for the closing of the wings. There was an incident years ago where a Legacy lost it's upper wing skin in flight as the builder failed to remove the peel-ply and prepare the bonding surfaces. He landed the plane safely but I am sure he had to wash his underwear!

 

I am sure Lancair would tell you that you MUST use the hysol for wing skin attachment.
