I used 2" clear (and it turns yellow very quickly) tape from Aircraft
Spruce on my ES and it does great (doesn't slow me down, doesn't
noticeably alter stall characteristics, etc).  Having said that, be
aware, the ES wing is markedly different from the IVP and Legacy wings. My understanding is that any additions to those wings, can be dangerous. BTW, my reason for putting on the tape was to minimize damage from rain,
bugs, ice, and (mostly) static discharge.
