I think you fly your Lancair very close to the edge.

Based on your quoted stall speed, 60 Kts, the 1.3 Vs is 78 Kts.

I am not quite sure I see the point of what I consider marginal safe operation, when you quote the type of stall your aircraft exhibits.

Environmental circumstances might place you beyond the edge on base/final turn.

I concede as you do the topic is always good for discussion.
