Lancair 320 For Sale – Best offer

Large-tail 320. First flight was in December 2003, with test pilot Don Goetz. Airplane has been mostly in storage since, with about 5 hours total additional flight time. The workmanship on the airframe is excellent (assisted by Rob Lueck and Top Flight Services in Florida). This airplane has the Crossflow Subaru engine conversion with an electric MT prop. We spent 2 years and thousands of dollars attempting to work out the bugs in the Crossflow motor, but it has never performed adequately. As with all their installations, the motor has cooling issues that have never been fully resolved. I have an intercooler, oil cooler and reduction drive cooler which should address these issues, but they are not currently installed. Crossflow is now out of business, and they have the ECU, which I have been unable to retrieve. Conversion to Lycoming will require new motor mount, cowling, and engine instruments (and a motor). The airframe has numerous upgrades, including outback gear with gas shocks, AOA system, tail stiffening mod (by Top Flight), Infinity grips, extended wing tanks, and all braided brake and fuel lines. Aircraft still needs paint and upholstery and is currently being stored (wings off) at the Front Royal Airport in Virginia. The aircraft is being sold as-is, non-flying, with no claims or guarantees. If interested, please call or email me directly (off list). I have extensive photos taken throughout the building process, and a detailed spreadsheet of every dollar spent. I am offering it for sale here first, and if it does not sell I will put it up on Ebay.

Sincerely,

Greg Oram
