Here is the STATE OF THE INSURABILITY for Lancairs' TODAY.
AIG and Aerospace are the only two Company's offering insurance on Lancair IV, IVP.
Liability is about $1000 with AIG and about $2,000-$2,500 with Aerospace. Hull rates are ranging from 2.75% to 5.00% dependent on the pilot qualifications. I would say on a 1500 hour instrument rated pilot with over 500 retract time you could use 3.5% hull rate plus liability. Both have 10% deductables.
Falcon, AIM and AIR are all agent/brokers and go to the same markets. Service and experience is really the primary difference.
Hull-- Either company (– 10% ded) (for the above mentioned pilot) 3.5% X $300000. = $10500.
