I always thought this 10 LED position sensor would be nice to have, but not very practical in the real world. I could not think of a way to reliably connect a variable resistor up to the landing gear and have it work for more than a few weeks out in the weather. But just now I found a manufacturer of position monitoring devices built for aircraft!! I haven't found out how much they cost yet. That may be a stumbling block. But if they are affordable, I would get 3 for my 360. There may even be more uses that I haven't thought of yet, like the flaps. The web site is here: http://www.spaceagecontrol.com/ptmain.htm
