All.

I have an early 235 with the equally early Navaid wing-leveler/course tracker installed.

I did not like the instructions to connect the servo output pushrod to the bottom of the stick mechanism when I considered the translational motion of the bottom of said mechanism. I decided to connect the servo output pushrod to the aileron idler in the right wing stub. This relieved the servo pushrod of the necessity of following the fore and aft/side to side motions required in the stick operation and allowed the pushrod to operate in a simple push-pull mode - in my opinion, much neater.

The servo is mounted under the passenger seat and the only compromise I had to make was the construction of a simple output shaft extension to position an output lever (control horn) to allow a straight line connection to the idler. The shaft extension is made of a piece of steel tubing with the horn welded to it, slipped over the end of the servo output shaft and secured with a safetied roll-pin. The outer end is captured in a bearing attached to the aft side of the main spar web.

The attached pics should be self-explanatory but if anyone wishes to get further info, off-line, I'll be glad to oblige. This has served me without a problem for almost 1000 hours - and I use the Navaid a lot.
