John,

Comming up on 1,600 hours and 7 years of flying our 320 and have found NO cable stretch. Avoid using rubber rudder cable. The stainless steel ones won't stretch.

Builders,

I'm not sure how the other Lancair models attach the rudder cable to the firewall, so it may be applicable to the Legacy only or possible to all Lancairs.

I'm getting ready to terminate my rudder cables to the firewall.  It would be a relatively easy task to use the eyebolt, thimble, and Nicopress sleeve called for in the Legacy construction manual;  this method, however, does not lend itself to making future adjustments which might be needed as a result of cable stretch.

So the question is................ has anyone developed a different rudder cable anchorage system to the firewall which allows for future adjustment capability?

Pics of parts and installation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

John
