When I broke my first prop, I called Lancair and obtained a price. Lancair's price to me was about $6,000. My price from Hartzell was about $11,000. Lancair told me that they highly discounted the first prop to a kit builder/buyer.
The next time I needed a prop, I could not obtain the heavy discount from Lancair. This time, with the insurance company paying, I purchased an Aero Composites prop.
If cost is any consideration, I would check first with Lancair. If cost doesn't count, I love my Aero Composites carbon fiber prop.

I am at the interesting but expensive stage of buying a prop for the IO-360 engine in my 360. . . . I would appreciate any and all inputs. Thanks. Jerry Fisher
