No Rod, this was just a quick set-up to get the engine
hung and see how things looked. When we modified the stock Continental
mount, we added a little rake to the lower plane of the gear mount, which caused
the over the center links to be short, therefore negative rake. With
Lancair's advice, I am fabricating two new ones an inch longer, and that will
result in a 2-3 degree forward rake when I am done. The rest of the
geometry works just fine, and clearances in the well work too. Did you
notice the flat tire? Recommend Lancair's patented anti-pinch shield when
assembling the wheel. New inner tube's on the way.......(:-).

Greg,
Are
you intentionally using negative rake on your nose gear strut? It should
be about 3 degrees positive (wheel forward of upper pivot
point).

A couple of you wanted to see what's going on, so here
we are. Manifolds are out getting flow tested and final welded.
Next week is plumbing and wiring time. Gotta' take a couple of days
off, and do Hunney-do stuff. God, I love this
stuff......(:-)
