Mine's on the left wedge part of the aft cabin bulkhead, spaced from other electrical and metal per magnetometer caveats from the hydraulic pump on the front side of that bulkhead.  Seems to work on the ground.... not flying yet.

Anyone who is or has installed the Grand Rapids EFIS can you tell me where the best spot to put the Magnetometer is?

Also stay away from power wiring, strobe power supplies, strobe wiring, autopilot servos.  In the Legacy a fiberglass mounting bracket bonded to the top of the fuselage just behind the baggage bulkhead works well.
