The logbook entry also needs to have
the aircraft total time in service, and the name, signature, certificate
number, and type of certificate held by the person performing the inspection.
In place of the "or other FAA approved programs" I insert "and the Lancair
ES Condition Inspection Checklist dated XX/XX/XXXX". I keep a copy of the
checklist each year showing what I checked and what discrepancies I found and
corrected.
I don't know if all that detail is necessary but I think it shows a good
trail of information that might be helpful if and when I sell the
aircraft.
