I heartily recommend getting as many switches as you can on the stick,
for ease of use and ergonomic comfort (in the military we called this
system HOTAS--Hands On Throttle and Stick).  I have PTT, pitch trim,
rudder trim, aileron trim, speed brake control, control wheel steering,
and autopilot disconnect all on the stick.  Back up switches are on the
panel above my throttle quadrant.  This all makes my flying much easier.
