I've been assembling the adjustable rudder pedal option and I'm concerned about the orientation of the torsion springs. As shipped from the factory, the springs are oriented so as to push the pedals towards the brake cylinders. In other words, there will be continuous pressure (estimated 5 - 10 pounds) on the brakes at all times. I haven't tried reversing them, but it looks like the springs could be swapped so as to have them lift the pedals off the brake cylinders. Ignorant as I am, I assume that would be preferable.
The manual supplement (figure 1) shows the springs oriented so as to push on the brakes (i.e., they sent me hardware configured like the picture). Clearly I am not understanding something.
Any comments?
