Bill; I received my IV-P via Partain back in December. There will be very little, if any, crating. The wings and other such pieces will be strapped to the wall of the truck, and the fuselage, etc... will be hand loaded and secured. There was a plywood template used to keep the back of the lower fuselage secure. After unloading, I was able to fasten that template to the top of a workbench and use that to secure the upper fuselage (inverted). The wings just need a simple jig built for them - I'm sure Lancair will do it for you if you ask. It's the most secure way I know of to store the wings, and it also takes up the least amount of space. Make sure you have enough sawhorses and sandbags that you can secure the lower fuselage in place.

I checked the Manual but aside from the fuselage stand found very little information about handling the parts and pieces. I also tried my hand at searching the Archives but couldn't figure out how to retrieve posts online but maybe I'll be able to figure that out
eventually. """"
