I just arranged shipping for my IV-P kit and realized that I really don't know what to expect on delivery. I checked the Manual but aside from the fuselage stand found very little information about handling the parts and pieces. I also tried my hand at searching the Archives but couldn't figure out how to retrieve posts online but maybe I'll be able to figure that out eventually.
After two weeks of Builder Assist the wings, horizotal stab and elevators should be closed in and the windows and door installed on the upper fuselage half. Could anyone tell me what Lancair does for crating (if anything) when shipping with Partain? I'm wondering whether I'd have to set up storage racks for various large pieces- do any shipping cradles get returned? If so I'd like to have as much prepared in advance as I can.
Also, what methods have people used to store items such as the wings? Would it make a difference over time if they were vertically suspended from slings vs. horizontal on sawhorses? How much does each wing panel typically weigh?
  Thanks very much-  Bill Wade
