The brakes would feel ok once we bled the system but....once we take-off and retract the gear, the brakes go down to the floor!!!  <SNIP>

More than likely the brake caliper is being depressed in flight by contacting something…say the gear door. 

 

Do a retract test on the ground with the outboard door off to make sure the brake caliper is not contacting anything.
