Thanks Barry.  I don’t need to keep the exact same form factor – I just have some space limitations and was trying to use the VM1000 available space (I don’t mind further cutting the panel or adding filler).

Matt,

I am not aware of a similar form factor that  does all you require.   Chelton, Blue Mountain, and Grand Rapids all make "similar" form factors that do all you want it to, but they're not the same.  EI makes an nice dedicated engine monitor that I *think* is pretty close to the VM1000...

Good luck!

Barry

PS  Look for Wendell Solesbee's beautiful new IV-P at OSH....it is fantastically impeccable!!!!!!!

Can anyone recommend an avionics product that would meet the following criteria:

1.       Fit into the space of a VM1000 display (I would replace my VM1000 display)

2.       Display engine information similar to VM1000

3.       Display GPS course information

4.       Display moving maps, including Jeppview approaches and charts

5.       Display  satellite weather and maybe even TIS?

Thanks,

Matt
