EAR Specialties in Indiana puts out a line of aircraft soundproofing materials. I had a booklet from them that explained the different types and where they are used. I used five different types in my 235. They are the company that puts out the little yellow ear plugs. They also manufacture "Conforfoam", the energy absorbing foam originally made for use in military transport helicopters to prevent compression fractures of the back with hard landings. I laminated the four available densities to make my seat cushions; pure comfort on 6 hour flights! I recommended to an RV seat upholstery shop that they should look into that for use in the driver's and passenger's seats for the RV long-distance drives. Truckers could benefit from it too.  These products are available from EAR distributors, and the "Conforfoam" is also available from McMaster-Carr.
