On my ES upper fuselage (same as IV except not carbon) someone at the mold
factory took the liberty of sloppily cutting out the windows I presume
somewhere near where there's supposed to be a scribe line. I'm thinking of
making the openings 3/8" to 1/2" larger on each side (3/4-1" overall)
including the windshield. I will still have plenty of plexiglass for the 1"
overlap onto the uncored part of the fuselage with room for the fender
washer and bolt style clamps. Does anyone know of a problem with this? Will
there be a problem with the edge of the dust cover? I will probably not do
it on the bottom of the windshield anyway. No need to see more cowling.
With regards to flying right seat- I wouln't consider it unless I was left
handed as I would prefer to do my fiddling around, folding maps and
especially writing right handed. In bumpy IFR I would rather not do that
left handed or let go of the stick.
