I am following a procedure very similar to Ian on my 360 FB.

- Flip plane - Install belly pan
- Flip plane - Finish belly pan installation
- Install gear and doors
- Flip plane
- Complete wings and close ( I have the fast build )
- Fill, sand, etc....., prime, prime, prime, prime, barrier, barrier, 1 coat
paint
(I am using the Poly Fiber system.  This will seal the bottom of the
aircraft   surface and provide surface protection from the many procedures to
follow.
I am worried about contaminates passing through the skin of the craft and  living forever in the interior structure.)
- Flip plane
- Proceed with tail installations

I intend to prime the interior of the fuselage as soon as I right side up
the plane. This will protect the surface from any contaminants (grease, oils, coke,
etc.)

On a side note, I am fearing the wing closure procedure.  Micro leaks are a
pain.
The fuel entering the honeycomb structure of the wing can not be good thing.
With
this in mind, I am going to use Poly Fiber Smooth Prime on the tank interior
to fill the micro holes followed by the Jeffco Fuel Tank Sealant.  The PF Primer is
as thin
as water and will have good penetration into the holes.  I talked with
Jeffco and they
could not come up with any reasons not to do this.  I have done some adhoc
test and the adhesion is very good.  This should prevent any very, very slow
leaks
through prefab joints or skin.  I plan to be very liberal with the Hysol
when closing the wing.  Who knows, maybe I won't have any leaks.  Ranny Fullinwider
