My Beech Duke had the alternate air in the fuselage behind the rear pressure
bulkhead.  That is where I intend on putting it in my ‘IVP.

Regarding the drain, I wonder if a small water filter/trap, similar to what
is used on pneumatic control systems might work.  It could be located
somewhere in the rear baggage area.  The water would collect in the
reservoir and simply turning the drain valve on the bottom would drain the
collected water.  Much easier than trying to coax water out of a long linear
small diameter tube that has a surface tension that prefers to make water
bead rather than easily flow out.
