Posted for "John Barrett" <2thman@olympus.net> to eliminate Vcard:

Dear Gordon,

I am beginning to assemble backup instruments for the SFS and this process
is generating questions about where the SFS EFIS gets its data input.

I need to know where it gets:
 a. altitude
 b. airspeed
 c. barometric pressure
 d. vertical speed

If it gets most of these from the AHRS, can this data be used by the
autopilot?  Can conventional instruments be rigged to provide backup for
the autopilot and EFIS in case the AHRS fails?

I will be using an S-tec 55 autopilot with altitude preselect.  Can I use
the same input data as the EFIS to inform the autopilot of the data it
needs?  Or will I need to use conventional instruments for the S-tec?

Also, I think I've seen some of your literature indicating a VFR GPS is
packaged with both the EFIS 1000 and EFIS 2000, but one of your brochures
shows the VFR GPS as not included with the EFIS 2000.  Which is true?
