Opps, I hit send while still editing. Append the following to the bottom of

The leading edge votex changes shape/direction with the wing planform. At
the tip the vortex it is bent rearwards (perpendicular to the tip edge -
just like it is perpendicular to the leading edge along the wing spanwise.
Wake vorticies are an additional / continued manifestation of that vortex
action/flow.
