The Columbia 400 in the hanger across from me also has these VGs.  That
plane is to have the hot wing "Evade" de-ice installed from Columbia.
The pilot is unsure if the VGs will remain after that. Robert M. Simon

Subject: [LML] Leading Edge Vortex Generator Tape

I saw a Columbia a couple of days age from the Cincinnati, OH dealer.  The leading edges had leading edge tape. On the inside portion of the
wing the leading edge tape had small, what looked like, vortex
generators. The vortex generators were spaced about every 1.5".

Has anyone else seen, used or have an opinion about this tape?

The Columbia is a certified aircraft. Does the tape have to be on the
plane? Is the tape STCed?
