If you are spinning without reference (outside or panel) and you stomp
on the rudder then your ear fluid will immediately tell you something
wrong, probably that you just started spinning in the opposite
direction. Best hope in many planes is to use the "kick the rudder and
then feet on the floor, throttle off, hands off" technique. Sure sounds
better here at my desk writing it than in the klag trying it. (cold

I have a lot of time in Pitts S1T and S2B and have spun them in all
possible configurations. I pass along my tip from my mentors and what I
have learned to work for me. I would think one could determine in this way even in clouds but I have
no experience in this.
