Guys,
The plane in the hail damage photos is a B-727-200 which was delivered new to my airline (American) sometime in the 1970's. In fact, my logbook shows that I flew in the right seat of that very plane back on 12/6/88 when I was a La Guadria based First Officer.
When American phased out their 727's, they were either sent to the desert or sold to a whole host of other carriers, mostly for conversion to freighters, as this one was to Burlington Air Express.
