The B&C regulator works well on either side of the
firewall but I have found that it is important to mount them in such a manner
that the voltage adjusting screw is easily accessible. It's a small
slotted screw located under a black rubber plug. We discovered that the
regulators come set at about 14.2 volts and if the Concorde RG batteries are
charged at that rate they do not last long. Adjusting the voltage down to
the recommended 13.8 solves the problem. So plan ahead on where it's
mounted.
