Thanks for all the notes from my recent
posts. All problems are solved. The humerous solution was Lancair didn’t know
they had blueprints of the baffling for the 320/360 even it clearly says to
“use the blueprints for cutting and folding”. Just funny they didn’t know it …
but they found ‘em now I’m told and are shipping me the blueprints. Thanks
Lancair’s Ross and his friendly support.
The most significant thing of
noteworthiness I have to report is there’s a guy out there still supporting us
Lancair builders, calling folks when they have questions for which he has
answers and he dosen’t work for Lancair. Hummmmm. He used to but today he
serves in our military working on F-15 hydraulic systems … I am informed they
are titanium. And these hydraulic lines aren’t placed in convenient places so
long term experienced people can get to them. Read that as we who are not in
our 20s any longer. Anyway, he called me regarding all my questions and
promptly answered each one, calling out the right part number (!), the right
method of repair and the list continues. Today after he gets home from
work and on weekends and every waking minute he manufactures specialty
glass/carbon fiber parts for all who need them. He makes molds, plugs and
parts. Who say you. Vern Pfifer (sp) that’s who. Still out there for all of us
who need help. Advice cost to me and you … nada. A good guy that can help you
when you need it and can supply all kinds of specialty parts when you want ‘em.
Give Vern a call at 541 416 0607 when you want that special part. He has a web
presence but it’s not quite up to prime time. He deserves your business. Thanks
Vern and thanks to all contributors.
