Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't TCM just admit that they've been selling engines for years that were shabbily thrown together and that complaints about those engines are justified?

Calling an engine that's better put together "Special Edition" is creative marketing at its best. A cynic might label that engine a probable  "Aircraft Engine" and refer to the Non Special Edition Engine as one that should never have been sold till the bugs were fixed.
