   My grips also have cannon plugs, so they can easily removed if needed.

I use the A/P disconnect on my grip all the time.  It's the pinky button on the back side of the grip.  This way I don't have to take my hand off the stick or look anywhere on the panel to disconnect the A/P.  I highly recommend this.  I use the thumb button for my CWS function on the A/P.
