This sounds to me like a problem that has been discussed before.  My 235 did
this a few times several years ago, but not recently.  It has to do with the
rather tricky relationship between the gear down pressure switch setting and
the relief valve in the pump.

Next time this happens, try opening the dump valve. You will probably see
the yellow (pump running) light come on.  Close the dump valve and all will
be OK. Because you said the pump was running after landing, I do not think the gear
switch is part of the problem.

Please let the list know what you discover.

Subject: [LML] bad gear switch?

Gang,

In the last 20 hours of flying my Legacy I have now had 2 occasions where
the gear would not extend via the gear switch.  Flip down....nothing.
Recycle....nothing.  Recycle...nothing.  Slow to 90 knots and prayerfully
turn the gear dump switch...voila!  After landing I can hear the pump
running, so it's fine.

Both times this has happened I have been "on the road" (of course!).  I have
lifted off with much trepidation knowing that I might have to fly home with
the gear down...but then the problem goes away and the gear works fine.

Seems to me I have a switch problem.  What say you?

Also, where can I find a replacement switch...again, this is for the
Legacy...

Thanks in advance!

PS  Have a write up from my recent trip coming shortly...it was a blast!
