It has been quite a while since tire wear and number of landings were discussed on the list.  I seem to recall there was a lot of discussion about numbers of landings and what was a good number to see.

I just replaced the Goodyear Flight Custom II tires on my Super ES.  I didn't replace them because they were worn out but because I picked up a vibration about 3 weeks ago and suspected tires.  I found a left main that had some flat spots on it and was quite a bit out of balance.  I decided to replace all tires rather than just that one.

Both main tires had a lot of tread left.  I actually was tempted to continue using the right main and nose tires.  They both had a lot of time left and looked very good.  I resisted the temptation in order to start fresh with new Goodyear Flight Custom III's.

The numbers come out like this, if anyone is interested:  total hours in service (tach hours not Hobbs).........384.    Total number of landings..............477.

I am very satisfied with the performance.  Just thought I would share the information since I don’t believe I ever saw actual numbers posted on the list.  May have just missed them in which case I am giving totally useless information.
