HI Could you tell me some info regarding the safety features of experimentals
vs regular single engine aircraft? Any help would be really appreciated

pursued at the rec.aviation.homebuilt newsgroup.  You might also want to poke around at the EAA website (http://www.eaa.org) to get a feel for
what the homebuilt movement is all about.  Discussion here is pretty well
focused on building, flying, and maintaining the Lancair kitplane family,
although if any of our subscribers care to expound on this subject a bit
