manually turn off at the wing root where the fuel comes out of the wing before

 cabin?  This is not a perfect solution, but would at least possibly give you
a chance in case of a crash, and keep more fuel from coming in the cabin via
broken fuel lines.   Jeff,
 are there any accidents you've seen where this might have saved the
occupants?   Probably hard to tell when the fire burns the entire airplane.
